About Me

      I was born and raised in El Paso, TX where my art education started early with my parents who were both artistic. As a result, becoming a student of art at an early age was a given, leading to a degree in fine arts. Though I've lived all over the US, from Alaska to New York state, I currently live and work in my studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The light, the terrain, the magnificent, blue open skies and the warm inviting people of New Mexico keeps me grounded and inspired build my art portfolio.
     I have been a part of many exhibitions across the United States where I have received several awards. 

     Though I have worked, and continue to work in many mediums, oil paint is my primary medium due to  the versatility and blending ability of oil paints. I  experiment with other mediums, however, and I'm rediscovering watercolor and gouache.  
      I currently have artworks in collections across the U. S. as well as in Spain and Germany. 
     I also travel often, sometimes finding inspiration for my art, for fun or to visit family.
